I'm listing an outstanding assortment of musical, electrical and mechanical
antiques, and I suspect that there will be something of
interest to almost everyone.
Here's a 1924 Radiola III battery radio. Its cosmetic condition is close to mint, as you can see in the photos. Polished bakelite panel is nearly flawless. Original engraved panel lettering is crisp and clear everywhere. Mahogany cabinet is likewise nearly flawless, with a smooth, unchecked original finish and an original Radiola cabinet decal that's almost perfect. There is some pitting on the nickel-plated pointer (see photos), but this is the only significant evidence of age or wear anywhere on the radio's exterior. Wiring harness is complete and undamaged. Original metal battery voltage tags are still attached to the individual leads. All four feet are still present on the underside of the cabinet. Chassis has some surface rust on the transformer case and the tube socket struts but there are no missing components, and the transformer has good primary and secondary windings. There's a loose lead coming off the tuner, and two loose leads coming off the transformer, so if you wish to make the radio operational, you'll need to check its circuit against a schematic. Comes with a set of WD-11 tubes and a Summit headset with nickel-plated earpieces, but the tubes and the headset are for display only (they are non-working).That's about it. Iwill
