Beautiful Antique 1801 Georgian Silver Hallmarked Caddy Spoon by Joseph Taylor:

This is an exquisite antique, George 111, hallmarked silver,tea caddy spoon, dated 1801, with fabulous shell decoration.The spoon bowl of circular ribbed form, with bright cut handle.It\'s a truly superb piece of silver workmanship, fully hallmarked withdate letter d for 1801, assay stamped IT for Joseph Taylor, anchor mark for Birmingham, withthelion passant and kings head.

Considering this beautiful Georgian tea caddy spoon is 213 years old its in pretty good original condition, it does have some age related patina/wear and a minute tiny little nick on the end of the handle, commensurate with its age, but nothing unusual.

First registeredatthe end of the 18th century, they hada very distinctive assay mark IT in an oval cartouche, actually making their items quite easy to identify.They specialised insalvers, condiments, decanter labels, napkin rings,tea services, trophy cups,and tea caddy spoons.
