This is such a lovely brooch! It measure 2.5\" wide and 1.5\" high. The design is a stylized buckle shape, created by a convergence of four scaly beasties. I believe they are the dolphin fish that sometimes appear in Greek mythology. The metal appears to be silver, though I can\'t see a mark anywhere on the brooch. It polishes up very nicely and is lightweight. The pinback clasp works just fine. I have no idea how old it is, but it definitely looks vintage. It is an estate piece.
