For sale is a beautiful antique Victorian Embroidered Cream Thin Muslin shawl with long soft tassels.

This beautiful shawl was made from the finest softest thin muslin material. The material is almost sheer/see through and is very soft touch. At each corner of the large square shawls there is a large embroidered scene of flowers both large and small and flowing foliage and ribbons. This has been sewn in the same cream colour as the shawl. Around the edge of the muslin shawl there is a thick band of crochet style work and very long tassels.

The cream muslin section of the shawl measures approx. 130cm x 130cm or approx. 54 inches x 54 inches, with the long tassels measuring approx. 26cm in length. The whole piece measures approx 156cm X 156cm

This piece is in good antique condition with no rips or holes in the material. However this piece will require a gentle clean. The material has yellowed and there are some rather large discoloured patches to be found over the shawl. However, in my experience a gentle hand wash with a mild detergent, wrung out and hung out to dry usually does the trick.

This is a beautiful piece that looks amazing on. It would be the perfect finishing touch to any evening or wedding dress.

We accept postal orders and cheques in certain circumstances however you must contact us prior to offerding.

Returns

In all cases the buyer is responsible for the cost of return postage – we will refund the original amount paid when the item or lot was purchased.

We Dispatch ALL ITEMS within 1 business day of receiving cleared payment. We send 1st class however this is dependent on the final sale price and item size, for larger items we offer a 3-6 day courier service. We estimate postage on an item by item basis; if you would like to upgrade postage or think that we have overestimated postage prices then please get in touch before offerding, buying or paying and we will do our absolute best to save you money.
