In this lot, you are offerding on an antique ethereal Edwardian gown fashioned of a mauve silk with heavy lace insets. Beautiful draping/tucking at the base of the gown in both the silk and lace. For design inspiration, stunning. Silk bow matches the silk of the covered buttons (of which most have been rubbed and expose the wood underneath). Ruching on the sleeves accented with silk bows, lined with netting. Dress lining no longer exists. Pintucking at the shoulders where the silk is tearing. Silk at back near lace in a darker purple rather than mauve, probably indicates an overall fading of the gown. Some repairs to the dress on the back at the bottom.
