Should I put it on or consign it to a sale house. This is a once in a lifetime find. This rare teapot or chocolate pot was manufactured in 1767 by Jasper Kelly, I believe. Mr Kelly was located in London, England. I found one piece that was attributed to him and it looked very close to a twin of this piece. That was at a large sale firm located in New York City. That piece went for over 5000.00 dollars! I believe that the handle is Ebony or the likes of. I do not see anything that I would call a flaw. Apparently this piece was passed down from family to family for hundreds of years, so we were told, before we purchased it. I have to believe that this is not a every day piece that walks into most shops! I have pictured the hallmarks, if I have misstated any of the details, please let me know. This lot will consist of the following pieces: (1) 7 5/8" x 7" teapot. These are approximate measurements from the base to the top of the lid and from the spout to the handle. The pot weighs 493.0 grams. This lot is not monogrammed. Should you need any other pictures, please ask. Always assume that the items that you are offerding on will need to be cleaned and, or polished. We leave that to the discretion of the buyer.
