Beautiful White Ironstone Jardiniere/ Master Waste Jar For Sale
Beautiful old white ironstone jardiniere or master waste jar measuring 11 inches tall, 8 1/2 diameter across the top with a belly of 30 inches around at the widest point. There is no makers mark on this one, so probably American, late 1800's. This is the second I am listing. In picture 7 it is the one in the middle. It appears a little creamier in color compared to the others (as all you collectors know the English pieces tend to be more blue/white) but when it stands alone I would call it white. It has a nice flair to the top with a double band around the neck. This piece is is good vintage condition noting only a tiny in the making line (it is glazed over - looks almost as if someone put their nail in it when the clay was soft- pic 2) and an array of kiln debris on the bottom of one side (again glazed over pics 2 and 3.) There are no chips, cracks, hairlines, or repairs and no crazing. A really nice old piece!
