Presented here for your consideration is a best quality antique signed Jacob Petit porcelain mantle clock. It dates from the early to mid 19th century and is in overall fair conditionand in need of proper restoration.
Theconditionissues noted included the following.There is loss and an old reglue to the very top of the clock & spots of loss on the reverse finials located in the front of the clock. The clock has enamel loss and cracks to the face, and it lacks it\'s back cover and pendulum. There is a large reglued section to the base with chipping and loss at the joints. It lacks a mount on theinterior of the clock (seen right hand side in picture #9). There are also factory firing flaws at several points in the base. Both the top and bottom have rubbing to the gold and wear to the decoration . There are light surface scratches and scuffing throughout, and other signs of light wear consistent with age. We are unsure if the clock works function.
