Best Natural 9.5ct Ruby & .75ct White Diamond 14k White Gold Bracelet Appraised:
This genuine natural ruby and diamond bracelet was purchased more than ten years ago and has been part of my personal collection. I always had my fine jewelry appraised when I bought it to be sure it was correct and had the value I understood it to have, not with the intention of selling it. but now I have to sell and I think the appraisal is a fair starting point on pricing. This piece was appraised on 1/13/07 when gold had a value of 620 per oz. So you know it has increased substantially in value since that time, and that the current value is probably double, along with the price of gold and the value of natural rubies and diamonds. It was valued then at $4,000, so I'm assuming the current fair value is at least $8000.
This bracelet measures 6.75" closed, inside length and it contains graduated oval shaped red rubies in a setting with round single cut diamonds -- 152 diamonds with SI-I1 clarity and H-I color, with a total weight in diamonds of at least .75cts. There are 38 rubies, graduated in size, with the larger on the front, with a total weight of at least 9.5ct. The width at the center is about 7/16" tapering to about 5/16" at the terminals. The bracelet is marked for 14K and I don't know the maker who seems to have signed with a heart shaped cutout on the back of the insert clasp. There are two safeties on the insert clasp. Each link has a hinge so the bracelet is optimallyflexible andconform to your wrist comfortably. The bracelet is in excellent vintage, wearable and collectible condition. It has no problems.

Attributions on many of the old pieces of Native American jewelry are sometimes a moving target. All the books have errors, so in addition to counterchecking, I have developed some expertise over the years and I do care about getting it right, so as more information comes to light I update my listings and also get in touch with my previous buyers, to inform them of any changes in attributions. I am sincerely committed to ongoing accuracy.
