Bette Davis As Regina Giddens In The Little Foxes Rko Publicity Photo 1941:
Fantastic black & white photograph of Bette Davis as Regina Giddens in The Little Foxes. RKO Studios stamp on back with publicity specs. Signature on back (unknown if this is Miss Davis' signature or just an identification signature by a studio worker or subsequent owner), Photographer possibly George Hurrell but it could also be one of the other studio photographers. From Hurrell's Hollywood Portraits "Goldwyn publicists had the task of selling her to the public in an unsympathetic, heavily madeup period role, in The Little Foxes, so they hired five noted photographers to interpret her Regina Giddens: Ned Scott, Charles Kerbe, Paul Hesse, James Doolittle and George Hurrell. Hurrell's portraits were far the most flattering, with spectacular lighting effects facilitated by the new Super XX film." Some light edge wear, some wrinkling and tape remnants on backApproximately 9 1/2" x 13", currently framed and matted but can be shipped either framed or unframed so please contact before payment to determine shipping costs.
