If you love your girls big and beautiful with HYPNOTIC eyes, you will adore this girl! She is absolutely delicious and you will fall in love with that fabulous face! Bisque socket head on a fully jointed early 8 ball composition and wood body with original finish. Gorgeous original brown fixed eyes with original plaster, painted upper and lower lashes, earlier multi-stroke flat brows, open pale colored mouth with four square upper teeth, dimpled chin, wearing beautiful new long tail blond mohair wig. Dressed in a pretty delicate antique white cotton dress with ruffled lace collar and ruffled lace bib, multi tucked horizontal hem tucks, lace sleeves, pink sash and pink ribbon sleeve bows, antique full slip with insertion lace and ruffled lace edged hem, white cotton pantaloons, antique cream cotton ribbed socks, vintage black patent leather single strapped shoes, vintage black felt hat with brown corded trim and applied cloth flowers. Just a commanding presence and a fine antique presentation for this huge and chunky early Kestner with desirable paler colored lips.

MARKS: 19 made in Germany P (Q was the largest size made)

CONDITION: Excellent. Lovely flawless bisque with expert painting of features, very crisp modeling, pleasant color, lovely large original set chocolate brown fixed eyes with distinct pupils, sweet expression. A small patch of wig pulls at the very upper crown rim. The original Kestner body in fine, shiny original condition hardly any age wear just some minor scrubbed areas and general minor wear commensurate with her age (circa 1890). This is a lovely Kestner child with renowned Kestner quality craftsmanship! A fine example of the earlier letter only model with a very pretty face and early body [RLI-651]
