A carved olive wood wall plaque.
Marked "Jerusalem" in Hebrew to the upper part.
Beautifullydecorated with images of carved kiddush goblet
over a book and tools/implements of manual labor.
The pair of pliers have an oldchip to the handle, please see photos.
Beautiful dark colour/patina of the wood.To the rear nailed bracket for hanging, which has a mark:
"Jiffy Inc. Pennsauken, N.J. 08109" ofcourse it's not so old as a plaque.Made in Jerusalem, Palestine,
probably by BezalelAcademy of Art, ca.1910 -1920's.Pictures will tell you more.Approx.:Dimensions (crosswise): 5 3/4in.x 4 7/8in. (145mm. x 1 1/2in.
