Black Vinyl Binding Tape For Magic Lantern Glass Slides For Sale

Black Vinyl Binding Tape For Magic Lantern Glass Slides

This is a glossy black vinyl tape ideal for the repair/replacement of missing, cracked, or damaged binding tape on glass magic lantern slides. It provides a vapor/moisture barrier to help protect your slides from condensation damage, and is resistant to aging, sun, water, fungus, bacteria, acids & chemicals. This tape can also be used for blocking out unwanted portions of an image (such as the borders) to get a cleaner projection image for your slides.

PLEASE NOTE: When repairing lantern slides, most people want to match the original tape used. In my experience, vinyl tape isprobably the second-most common style of tape used for magic lantern slides. This tape is probably slightly thicker and slightly more glossy than some of the original vinyl tape on some slides. Please check my listings for other styles of binding tape. Unlike the more common paper binding tapes, this tape will need to be cut with scissors, since it will not tear cleanly by hand. This tape also does not "overlap at the corners of the slides" as easily as paper-based tapes (you might want to notch the corners).

Width: Approximately 12mm (1/2 inch). (Width may vary slightly from roll to roll.)

Length: Approximately 36 yards, which, if my calculations are correct, should be more than enough to bind 80 standard (3 1/2" X 4") magic lantern slides. The roll is not guaranteed to be continuous - there could be one or more splices on the roll.

Thickness: Approximately 5.2 mils total thickness.

Adhesive: Synthetic rubber resin.

Backing: Soft polyvinyl chloride (SPVC) film

I will combine shipping if you purchase multiple rolls.
