This absolutely adorable Antique Repro French Bru Brevete as Bleuette Doll is handmade by highly respected doll artist, Beth Golding of Chunky Cherubs. The Bru Brevete was the first bebe model for the Bru Jeune Company of France. It was produced from 1879 to 1883. This Bru has a childlike chunky face. She has a jointed all wood and composition Bleuette body and stands 11 inches high. Her eyes are blue threaded paperweight glass eyes. She wears blonde English mohair wig parted in the middle, with bangs and soft loose curls over her shoulders. It is accented with two blue satin bows. Her ears are pierced and she wears blue shimmery glass seed bead earrings. She has a closed mouth and softly painted lips. Shecame out just darling. She was poured in a Seeleys mold with lady white porcelain slip. She is wearing her panties. This little Bru is so special. She is NEW, MINT and never has been displayed.
