Bleuette Jumeau Premiere 9 1905 11” JN Wood Blond Mohair Hand Blue PPW Eyes MINT -- Artist: Leslie Perkumas
This exquisite Bleuette Jumeau 9 Premiere 1905 is handmade and hand painted by award winning, internationally known doll artisan, Leslie Perkumas. Bleuette’s head is the Seeley mold. Her sweet little face has the absolute finest bisque and painting. Leslie fires each head 10 to 15 times to bring up the coloring. Bleuette has a Janice Naibert 21 cm wood body, and she stands about 11” tall. She has gorgeous light blue English Hand glass PPW eyes with tiny lids and delicate hand-painted lashes and brows. Very subtle violet shadow and a thin black liner enhances her eyes. She has eye and nose dots. Bleuette has high peach coloring in her face and has peach lips showing a tiny smile. She wears a dark blond mohair wig. The hair is pulled back from the sides with ringlets circling face. The hair is secured on top in the back with masses of ringlets cascading down her back. She has tiny dangle earrings of pearl and clear beads. She comes wearing her panties. This cutie loves lavender and wants her new maman to know that! She is signed and dated by Leslie. She is perfect – MINT—has never been displayed.

She is, of course, entirely handmade by me. I cast the molds, fire the bisque and paint each doll individually with great care. To bring up the coloring, each head is fired ten to fifteen times as I work slowly and meticulously. Each wig and eye color combination is chosen specifically for the doll's facial colors and character. I want every single doll that goes out into the world to be of the highest possible quality so that their owners find joy in them for years to come. And so, I sign and date each doll to affirm the love that went into her creation and inherent sweetness. I am the artist and I approve this message.
