My artwork is fashioned from copper silver and aluminum wire. I devote much attention to creating sensual, delicate, yet strong and dynamic curves that mirror nature’s bountiful manifestations. The trees then extend into elaborately twisted roots, which reach beneath the earth from which the metal that they are made of originates. The man-created trees form a perfect antithesis to the rocks which nature has shaped during its countless and merciless cycles. My creations then reach their final stage when a coat of polyurethane super high gloss is applied, evoking the clearness of water bouncing off the rocks below. The changing light also becomes a devoted companion, constantly bringing trees into motion, creating shadows, and enhancing form and color. My sculptures reflect human expression. By evoking nature’s and even one’s calm as well as roused moods, they usher in the moments of introspection that I hope will leave the lasting impact on the spectator.
