Box Of 34 Viewmaster Personal Reels Showing Scenes Around Germany 1972 :
A box of 34 Viewmaster Personal reels showing scenes around Germany 1972.
GAF era View-Master personal reels in nice condition, filled with colour stereo photos of Germany. All neatly labelled and dated in pencil on the envelopes but the reels themselves have not been written on. Spend a couple of evenings as an armchair, time-travelling tourist and look at stereo photos from 40 years ago or re-use the reels for your own VM photos. Better still, pick out the best shots to keep and re-use the rest of the reels. The un-named photographer must have got through a lot of film because he took lots of pictures at every stop. Most appear to be North Germany and scenes include Bremen, Bremen Museums, Bremen Railway Station, Buses, Coaches and Tram, Cuxhaven, Ships including Fishing boats in the harbour, A tour over the ship ‘Scharhorn’, An interesting scene where he seems to have his VM camera and film on a table; scenes of the early morning landing of fish and in the Fisch-Hallen where fish is being saleed; the Ferry Port with a car ferry unloading; shops and cafes; a steam train; beaches and sunbathing holidaymakers; sand dunes, beach kiosk etc. He won’t win prizes for his photography but they are an interesting ‘time capsule’ of the area 40 years ago. No fading and in nice condition. All the reels are numbered sequentially on the envelopes from 106 to 139 and have not been picked over.
