Thank you.I have for sale this very nice 1905-1925 arts and crafts style leaded bradley and hubbard lamp. This is a large sized lamp measuring in at 27.5 inches tall with the shade being 20.5 inches wide. thats large compared to the standard large of 21-22 inch high base and 18 inch shade. the b and h base very very seldom seen and in excellent original green patina. the four sockets all matching to the base and in good working order. the base properly signed on the bottom with the b and h logo/tag ( please see photo ). there is no damage at all to the base and its been recently rewired with proper period style cloth cord in matching green. good luck finding green cloth cord but we did. As for the shade that is also in very nice overall condition. great quality glass and form and as you can see it lights up very very nicely. A stray tight age crack here or there, I counted two but there may be three total and they are very tight and not going anywhere for another 100 years. all the leading tight and right and a very nice geometric arts and crafts pattern in the shade. All in all a very nice arts and crafts style lamp in very good overall condition.due to size i have to charge a little more for shipping. please check out my other lighting sales as well.

An invoice for the total amount will be sent through as normal.Im sorry to say but for years now I have looked the other way cost wise on shipping but I cant do it anymore. The shipping cost to the Midwest and far west is so much more than what I have to deal with here in the northeast. I have struggled with doing this as I didn’t want to lose my buyers/buyers west of me but it just adds up to too much money in the long run. Please understand I do this very reluctantly, as such, I am adding 20% to anything being shipped to zone two and 33% to anything being shipped to zone three. Example 75.00 regular shipping cost to zone one is just that 75.00. zone two would be 75.00 times 20% which equals 15.00 which is added to the 75.00 and becomes 90.00. zone three is 75.00 times 33% which is 25.00 which then becomes 100.00 for zone three. Bear in mind I am already very cheap in my packing and shipping costs and DO NOT CHARGE for labor, boxes, bubble, wrap, or peanuts and that we double box the shade and ship the base separately. buyers please remember that I am selling antiques and that there should be a degree of expectation on your part in knowing that there will be normal aging and minor imperfections towards an item that is 75 to 100 years old. Chances are if there aren\'t any, it\'s a newer item and you shouldn\'t want it anyways. In other words, a minor blemish on some metalwork belonging to a large shade or a 1/16 by 1/16 of a paint flake missing, please try and be reasonable. I really don\'t want to do a refund because the finial ( typically a 10.00 piece ) isn\'t perfect on a 2,000.00 lamp. I always describe the important aspects towards condition reports and sometimes my eye misses what I deem immaterial issues such as the aforementioned sentence. It seems the more experienced an antique dealer or buyer is, the more understanding of condition they are. That being said, if you think you\'re going to be a difficult buyer because you want perfection in a 100 year old piece, please purchase another seller\'s product. has made it very difficult for sellers in the past few years yet I\'m a good seller who wants to be fair and all I ask for is a fair buyer to do business with. There are a few things in life we can?t do without. Food, water, fire, oxygen, the sun, shelter etc. So when it comes to shelter and necessary light for it, that?s where I come in. I believe in living simply and within my means but surrounded by items of great quality. I would rather own a great reverse painted lamp or Stickley bookcase than drive a foreign car that will only depreciate in value and cost me good money for repairs and maintenance. Or pay $40,000 in property taxes a year on a 7,000 square foot home that I only use 2500 sq. ft. of and the wasteful utilities that go along with that.

So why is it people go out and spend say $500.00 bucks on a pair of lamps that in ten years will be in a rummage sale with the hopes of getting $15.00 for the pair. Why not spend $1,000 on a lamp and have something meaningful, and when you tire of it ten years later, sell it, and get your money back in its entirety or even make a profit on top of the investment. Not to mention you got the same usage for that entire time period? This makes infinitely more financial sense than the other choice, plus you have a conversation piece in the room and something to be proud of. Also you have more cultural feeling invested in something 100 years old knowing that it can never be duplicated by modern making techniques and knowing there a few, if any, like it left for this world and now it?s yours. You own it. You display it and care for it. It becomes part of you so to speak versus a throw away item that was purchased at Raymour and Flanigan, Sears, Macy?s or Walmart.

So again that?s where I come in. lighting. Great period lighting when electricity was still in its infancy. When makers like Bradley and Hubbard, Handel, Tiffany studios, Pairpoint, and others cared about quality, appearance, and function. When makers were trying to outdo one another with this new business boom of electric lighting. When we went from whale and kerosene oil lamps and gas, to electric. This is when the best lamps in the world were manufactured and the ones I want to light my home with when its dark. I can?t control the sun or the amount of light it provides or when it comes up or goes down, and whether it?s cloudy or not, but I can control the light in my home when its dark. and like I said earlier, I want nice rugs, paintings, pottery, furniture, etc. and I want to see those items lit by great lighting. It?s what makes a home more outstanding and livable because without it you see absolutely nothing. A quality lamp makes or breaks a room. You can have the best rugs, furniture, paintings, and accessories in the world, but without great lamps or lighting nobody will ever see it. Buy quality and you will never regret it.
