For sale here is something which would be of interest to anyone who likes colonial era material culture. Collectors, reenactors, or just someone looking for a neat piece of decor. This is a reproduction of a porringer. It's made of brass and is essentially a bowl that was popular in the 17th and 18th Centuries. It has a nice decorative "handle" and, overall, is very nicely constructed. Use it for your next 18th Century party or have the coolest candy dish in town!Porringer measures approximately 7 1/2" from edge of handle to opposite edge of the bowl. The bowl itself is about 5 1/4" in diameter and about 1 1/2" deep. Thanks for looking, please be sure to see my other sales!
