This is the original type 3866 Braun AB314rsl, not the re-issue clock released a few years ago. It\'s a very rare collectible clock, valued more even for the durability and quality gone into making this clock. It\'s an excellent time piece, travel alarm clock, and it\'s big draw is the reflex control system. You wave your hand in front of it to turn the alarm off. I\'ve been using one of these myself for a few years now, and I can say from my own experience how great that function is. It has a few neat features described here:

After the third burst of the alarm tone the alarm can be stopped and the snooze function activated by a simply movement of a hand in the vicinity of the clock face (maximum operating distance 40 cm/16 in.).

The movement of the hand in front of the clock should be diagonal and slightly above the green infrared sensor. At the same time the clock face is automatically illuminated. The alarm signal will start again 8 minutes later, and repeats for ca. 35 minutes.

The alarm can only be totally switched off by pressing the red button.

By pressing either the red or the green button the light can be turned on, and the clock can thus be used as a flashlight.
