This was the Breyer "Roxy" loping stock horse mold. Her head has been tucked to be more "on the bit", one ear has been flipped backwards, listening to her rider. The original molded-on mane and tail have been completely removed, and new, breed-appropriate sculpted counterparts in their place. A smaller, more tack-friendly forelock has been sculpted as well. She has been hand-painted a realistic and accurate bay varnish roan Appaloosa pattern, with plenty of directional roaning, peacock spots, flecks and frosting, in a combination of acrylics and pastels. Soft pastel detailing on the face as well. Appaloosa breed specific details such as visible sclera in the eye, and striped hooves as well. The entire model has been coated with a clear matte acrylic spray to protect the paint job. The eyes, nostrils, and hooves have been glossed for a lifelike appearance. Thank you for looking!
