Briggs And Stratton Model Wmb Engine:
As pictured. Engine is loose and has about the right amount of resistance when I crank it, not sure if I'm feeling compression or not. Probably valve not sealing or stuck. This seems to be an exceptionally straight clean project engine.Selling as is but I expect it to be an easy restoration project. I have not checked for spark, surely the points are corroded to the point where there won't be spark at this point anyway. Tag is very nice, stamping is a little weak but certainly can be read. WMB model, 95586 type, 50997
If you're interested in what you see, please check my other sales. I list approximately2 items each evening for 10 day sales so have a good variety of listings at any one time. The majority of my listings are NOS Deere parts with other odd items I come across along the way.
I am working my way through a substantial parts inventory of NOS from several John Deere dealerships. Most parts are 1970 and before. Consider adding me to your favorite sellers list and keep an eye on my sales.
Most of my inventory leads are coming from the relationships that have developed with my regular buyers. Thank you for your help!
If you have particular needs you are welcome to drop me a note and I'll alert you if I find and list what you are looking for. The parts are not inventoried nor organized so I will not be able to go look for your part but will be glad to add it to a hunt list. If you include your e-mail address I'll give you a heads up if your item comes up for sale. All sales will be through , I think that's the best way to establish a fair price.
A quick word on the meaning of NOS: these are items that have never been used, but they have been lying around for a while. Parts that deteriorate with time may need to be replaced, like shaft seals. Valves may be lightly stuck. The paint may be chipped and it may not quite match the color of the rest of your tractor, anyway, so figure on stripping and painting the part to match your paint job. I will describe any deterioration as best I can for you. My guarantee is good and my comebacks are practically non-existent so for the most part my descriptions are accurate and my buyers understand the game.
I am always glad to combine shipping for you. Just give me a heads up and I'll hold your items for a bit to see if you buy something else we can ship at the same time.
Note that I DO respond to virtually all communication. But communication thru sometimes doesn't get through so please try again if you don't hear from me.That failing, contact me through my website, the name of which you can easily deduce from my name. I just had a substantial deal fall through for lack of a way to successfully respond to the other party. I suspect he had changed e-mail addresses and forgot to update his account.
I like to have a chance to get a bargain at sales, so I offer you the same: I start the items low and do not have a reserve. You tell me what it's worth, not the other way around. Once in a while I have to let something good go real cheap, I think that's the way sales are supposed to work. Combined shipping or local pickup/no shipping charges always welcome. Thanks for looking, and please feel free to ask questions!
