Brown Westhead Moore Majolica Passion Flower Jardiniere:
Majolica jardinieres by T.C. Brown Westhead & Moore. Victorian, circa 1880. 12.2ins (31 cm) high, 17.3ins (44 cm) wide, 14.8ins (37.5 cm) depth.
Coloration: cobalt blue, green, yellow, are predominant Bears a pattern number, '148 T'
Cobalt blue ground featuring the passion flower design of raised mauve and pink flowers with leaves and tendrils in soft green with deeper green shading. Set on cobalt blue glaze with raised lion heads to either side.The inside is a wonderful turquoise blue and the top and bottom rims are a light caramel color with a design of raised circles linked by a flared arrow shape.
Overall great condition, with one small Professional restoration to the foot with some crazing and wear to the inside only, and starcracks crazing to underside.
