Buffet Paris Full Albert System Clarinet Low Pitch Bb:
This is a full Albert system clarinet made by Buffet Paris sometime in the late 19th or early 20th century. It has aone piece body with one crack at the top that has been flush banded. It has 6 finger rings and, articulated G#. The register key also connects to the first finger ring to close a small vent hole. There are two adjustment screws. It also has the left side alternate Ab/Eb key. Has the Patent C# mechanism. Top of the body is marked Buffet Crampon and LP for low pitch. The bottom of the body has what appears to be a serial number "C1A1". Wood is very dry and pads and corks are ancient. Bell and barrel are also marked Buffet but are items I added when I was going to restore this clarinet. All tenons and sockets look good and keys look good and straight and screwswill turn out. Bell is missing top ring. No case or mouthpiece.
