DETAILS:
Case: \'Senator’ model. Delightful, broadlyrectangular shaped case which is richly engraved to two sides of the crystal.Original & signed \'Bulova\' and topped off with a smart new mineral glasscrystal. The 10kt rolled gold plate bezel and case back have been repolishedand look great. In general the case looks fantastic with only slightwear/scratches present commensurate with the age of the watch.
Dial: Highlynoticeable and complimenting the engraving of the case, the dial has beenprofessionally refinished in black. The arabic style numerals are gold tone andalong with the ‘Bulova’ name are slightly raised on the dial. The minutechapter and sub-second dial are in gold tone. There is a sub-second dial at thesix o’clock position. The hands are all new ‘Bulova’ stock.
Movement: BULOVA Swiss manual wind movement. This is a fine classic 10AE calibre, with 15jewels and is marked with a triangular symbol for 1935. The movement has been cleaned, oiled & adjusted and is running well,keeping good time ready to wear. As with all vintage watches regular servicingis recommended.
Size: Broadly rectangular shaped,approx. 35.00mm long (including lugs) X 24.71mm wide (excluding crown). Approx. 28.45mm excluding the lugs.
Band: A smart new 16mm black leatherband with gold tone buckle has been fitted which sets off this watch perfectly.
General comments:
This is an exceptional example of a Bulova ‘Senator’watch from 1935 which has been lovingly restored. The repolished case withintricate engraving and beautifully refinished dial make the watch highlyattractive. The watch has a pleasing classic look and feel that simply cannotbe found in newer watches.

- This is a vintage manual wind watch with a movement from 1935 some 79 years old and as such it will not have the accuracy of a contemporary quartz movement therefore perfect time accuracy cannot be expected. If you want a watch to simply put on and go – then perhaps this is not the best choice you could make – however, if you want a period timepiece that you can admire and enjoy on each occasion you wear it, then this is a great item.
