This basket is in good condition. There is some minor stitch loss, and the rim is also slightly warped. Acquired from a private collection in Arizona. The owner inherited this item from his grandparents, who owned two Indian stores on reservations; one of them was called Covered Wells Trading Store in Sells, Arizona, and the other was in Phoenix, Arizona. His grandfather had passed away around 1918. His grandmother took over the store at the time; she passed away in 1950.
