Packaging & Shipping Policies

Think our shipping costs are excessive? Consider this: Each item we sell is unique and irreplacable. We don\'t have a warehouse of similar items with which to replace yours if it is damaged during shipping. For this reason we take packaging your purchase seriously. At our discretion, we may use extra packing material, double cartons and any other packing option we feel is necessary to ensure your items arrive safely, securely and intact. We do not mark up shipping. You will be charged exactly what it costs us to package and ship.

We are often asked if we can combine shipments for multiple items. In these cases we ask that you wait to make payment until after your last sale has closed, then send us a request for a single invoice with combined shipping. Again, at our discretion, we will try to accomodate your request, but reserve the right to package the items in a way that best ensures they will arrive safely and may not be able to accomodate your request.

As a participant in the Global Shipping Program we can ship items worldwide. As this is a shipping program run by , we have very little control over the estimated shipping, duties, import restrictions and other policies. You are responsible for meeting all customs/import/export regulations. We cannot be held liable for domestic or international laws affecting the delivery of your items.

Regarding endangered species and wildlife:U.S. laws as well as many International laws, regulate the import and export of such objects. It is the responsibility of the buyer/purchaser to be aware of and comply with all import/export regulations and restrictions. Goodlife sales is neither an importer nor exporter of any endangered species. We use various stands and display devices to aid with photography of our items. Unless stated explicitly in the sale listing no stands or display devices of any kind are included with the sale lots listed even if visible in the photos.
As a convenience to our clients, we furnish pre-sale estimates for all items included in the sales. These estimates are approximate valuations and are based upon comparable sale values. These estimates are NOT prices. offerding normally begins at about one-half of the low estimate, but the final offer price may well be less than or more than any estimate printed.
All items we sell are represented by GoodLife sales under a consignment agreement with a third party. Under our agreement, all items are subject to removal at any time from the sale listing.

If a lot is offered subject to a reserve price, this is a confidential minimum price below which a lot will not be sold. Please do not contact us to ask what the reserve price is.

Prospective buyers are advised to inspect all lots prior to offerding to determine age, condition, size, medium, repairs and any restoration or lack thereof. All Chinese scrolls are sold AS IS, with no guarantee as to authorship nor as to authenticity. It is the responsibility of the potential buyer to determine whether or not any of these scrolls might be original paintings, copies, etc. Unless specifically noted so in the description, neither scrolls nor Chinese paintings are warranted or guaranteed to be by any particular artist nor of any particular age.
