This sale is for a pre-owned metal plaque featuring a raised profile of the famous cowboy artist Charles M Russell.

Lower portion of the piece has an artist pallet with the words IN MEMORY

I have found no other markings

I have been emailed with the following information:
Just thought I\'d offer a little background - these were cast iron plaques given to pallbearers and honorary pall bearers at Charlie Russell\'s funeral. They were designed by Eric Schotz and cast by John Baier of Great Falls Iron Works in 1927.

This could be home-made or hand-made
I obtained it at an estate sale

Scuffs, rubs and scratches present with overall light soiling from shelf dust and storage.

I have not attempted to wash, clean or buff this item.

The hole at the top is a bit rough

Saw marks can be seen on underside, especially to center block

This may be a mould of some sort - although the lettering is not in reverse.

I believe this item is made of aluminum
