A good Royal Worcester soft paste porcelain coffee cup decorated in th Jabberwocky pattern..
Vertically fluted shape painted in bright enamel colours. A turquoise scrolled border with small diaper panels. A fantastic dragon, wheat sheaf and flowering branches in the centre.
The design known today as the Jabberwocky pattern was an invention of the Worcester factory in the 1760's, although it was influenced by Japanese Kakiemon designs. A Jabberwocky was a mythical creature invented by Lewis Carroll at the end of the 19th century. Mr.Perrins called the design "The old Japan wheat sheaf" pattern.

Condition
Displays well, 3cm crack to rim.
Residue on base is easy to remove, (can be scratched off with fingernail)
