C 1770 REVOLUTIONARY WAR ENGLISH SWORD WITH GR (FOR KING GEORGE III) AND THE ENGLISH CREST ON THE BLADE. I BELIEVE THECREST MAY BE FORTHE ORDER OF THE GARTER- GREAT DESIGN ON BLADE -HAS THE ORIGINALLEATHER SCABBARD WHICH IS VERY RARE THAT IT SURVIVED

SIGNED SOLINGEN BLADE, MEANING IT IS A GERMAN BLADE IMPORTED INTO ENGLAND AND THEN MADE INTO A FULL SWORD BY AN ENGLISH SWORD MAKER.
