C1800 GERMAN OR FRENCH NAUGHTY PORCELAIN LADY W/ MIRROR UNDER HER SKIRT No Res
This listing is an early 19th century French or German porcelain figure of a lady standing over a mirror. It is signed on the base with a crossed line and crown mark in under glaze blue with the initials “C.J” at the center.
The porcelain figure measures 5 1/8 inches or 13 cm high, and is 3 ¾ inches or 9.5 cm at its widest. The woman is wearing an elaborate floral dress with lace trim around the neck and on the sleeves. She holds the bottom of her dress up, and the naughty part is that she is standing over a mirror so the viewer can see up her dress.
The figure is in very good condition. The mirror has lost a lot of its reflection, but can easily be replaced if one wished.
