Ca. 1830sEnoch Wood Historical Staffordshire Blue Transferware Cup Plate Sailing Ship Nautical Shell Border

UP FOR sale:

AblueHistorical Staffordshire bluetransferwaretoddy or cup plate.

This is ahighly glazedround rimplate, a nice light ironstone or earthenware with blue pearlware high glaze,crispblue transfer. Small plate, cup plate orbutter patsize, measures 3 3/4"across,Compare with otheritems (Not Included!) in the last photo.

The platefeatures sea shell border with irregular grotto surround of the pattern, theseries predominately depicting nautical scenes, all being hard to find in cup plate size. I can't identify the sailing ship or pattern, maybe "Ship Anchored".

Theplate isin goodcondition, no oneutensil mark on the front. Does have some stain and discoloration primarily visible on the reverse.

Plate has an impressed wood eaglemark,& potter isEnoch Wood & Sons,Staffordshire, ca 1830s.

A hard to find little cupplate for collection, decoration, or usearoundyour home!!!
