This listing is for an antique circa 1880\'s English Sheffield silver plate mounted porcelain meat platter. The platter measures 14 1/4 inches by 19 1/2 inches from handle to handle (36.9 by 49.5).
The blue and white porcelain meat platter features a transferware chinoiserie village scene with water and fishing boats in the background. The platter is mounted in a Walker and Hall silver plate warming stand. The stand has a valve with a screw top for hot water to be poured in. The bottom of the silverplate is marked with the Walker and Hall Flag makers mark and reads \"WALKER & HALL SHEFFIELD ENGLAND\".
The condition overall is fair. There is some darking to the silver plate as well as some denting around the rim and a small hole on the top rim. There is a repair on the bottom edge. The porcelain has age appropriate craquelure and a 3 inch hairline on the rim.
