C1890 FRENCH GRAND TOUR BRONZE BUSTOF A RENAISSANCE BEAUTY
This listing is for a very fine circa 1890’s French Grand Tour bronze bust of a Renaissance beauty. The bust measures 8 ¼ inches or 21 cm high, and is 5 inches or 12.5 wide across her shoulders.
The bronze features a bust of a woman mounted on a low footed base with a shaped pedestal. The woman wears robes with a necklace and a laurel wreath on her head. The bronze has a dark milk chocolate brown patina or color which is all original to the piece.
The bronze is in very good condition, there are minor age appropriate variations to the patina, and a small blemish on her nose. Please see the many photographs for more on the look and condition of this fine bronze bust.
