C1920 Art Deco Cast Iron Polychrome Paint Parrot Nutcracker Nr $100

Hello all!! Bankskull is back! 2013 is going to continue to sizzle! Idid not do much bank collecting this last year BUT here is the up side: I am downsizing my personal collection and I will be selling off some incredible near mint to mint cast iron and tin pieces, plus many other pieces/parts and projects!! Many I have never seen on for sale before. I have put away many of the best items I have found and will be offering them to you! If you are not on my email list yet, I suggest you get on it, you don’t want to miss out!! (Details below) THERE ARE12 MORE ITEMS UP FOR SALE IN THIS sale BLOCK. Only one item listed in the title is for sale on this page. If you would like to see the other29 items up for sale now, hit the see sellers other items button. I generally collect but I have been having fun with these sales so I’m picking up “extras” when I find them now & offering them to all you collectors out there on . I hit all the garage & estate sales, flea markets, antique shows & some treasures!!!! I have banks manufactured by all the major manufacturers. I also have branched out into some of my other cast iron interests, mainly doorstops & paperweights but I have some unexpected surprises as well. Always and starting at $.99 because I feel the quality the items will speak for themselves and get a fair price. I regularly have sales. If you would like, send me your email & I will add you to the list & notify you when I have an sale. I ONLY use this info to send you info on my sales, absolutely nothing else!!

You are offerding on a cast iron parrot nutcracker. Made by an unknown manufacturer c 1920’s, nice art deco style. Hand painted in 6 colors, the piece is in amazing condition. The upper polychrome paint stands the test of time. The bottom was painted in regular paint and has long faded. The piece is 10” long x 6” high and a good 6-7 lbs! Surprisingly heavy for its size. The surface finish is 100% original, beautiful detail in the metal. NR Mint Condition minus the base. There are no cracks, chips or breaks of any kind other than any stated. This is an awesome nut cracker for your collection you don’t see every day! From my personal collection. Pictured in “Giving Thanks With Toys Sale” Bertoia sale Catalog from November 21th & 22th 1993, pg 26, lot#425, sold for $165 20 years ago. This should be at least $250 in today’s market if you can find one!

Will combine, prefer it actually. It’s generally the same cost or a buck or two more depending on the weight. PLEASE WAIT UNTIL I SEND YOU A COMBINED SHIPPING INVOICE. WILL SEND YOU ONE WITH THE FULL SHIPPING PRICE FOR ALL THE ITEMS PURCHASED. IF YOU PAY BEFORE I SEND A COMBINED INVOICE, I MAY NOT NOTICE THAT YOU OVER PAID FOR SHIPPING. IF I DO NOTICE I WILL REFUND THE DIFFERENCE BUT PLEASE WAIT FOR THE COMBINED INVOICE TO SAVE A REFUND HASSLE FOR BOTH OF US. THANKS.

FYI: I always go to the USPS to mail the items so I always have a receipt/ proof that the items were mailed

I suggest to the winner to print a copy of this sale, it will increase the resale value of your purchase tremendously having this information as a hard copy along with the bank. You are paying for this information, make use of it! Plus it’s fun to look back in 20 years and say I only paid $200 for that way back when. Most of the banks today selling for $200-$400 were $15-$50 in the mid 1970’s, big money when the reference guides I have were printed.

RETURN POLICY: If the item is not described or photographed properly you will get a full refund plus your cost to ship it back to me as well. My customers shouldn't be out of pocket for a mistake if it's mine. Please ask any and all questions before sale ends. No refunds for buyer’s remorse. Items are photographed and described accurately. Payment due in 5 days. Shipped via USPS priority without insurance unless requested. Seller assumes no responsibility for a lost or damaged package. FYI: I always go to the USPS to mail the items so I always have a receipt/ proof that the items were mailed buyer pays shipping. International, including Canada, email for air or surface quote. Payment by PayPal. I cheerfully combine items to reduce shipping. By placing a offer you agree to these terms. I have an email list that I send to people interested in my monthly sales. If you would like to be on it send me your address. I only use this for sales. PERIOD! Mechanical Bank Still Bank Registering Bank Money Box
