You are offerding on a cast iron parrot nutcracker. Made by an unknown manufacturer c 1920’s, nice art deco style. Hand painted in 6 colors, the piece is in amazing condition. The upper polychrome paint stands the test of time. The bottom was painted in regular paint and has long faded. The piece is 10” long x 6” high and a good 6-7 lbs! Surprisingly heavy for its size. The surface finish is 100% original, beautiful detail in the metal. NR Mint Condition minus the base. There are no cracks, chips or breaks of any kind other than any stated. This is an awesome nut cracker for your collection you don’t see every day! From my personal collection. Pictured in “Giving Thanks With Toys Sale” Bertoia sale Catalog from November 21th & 22th 1993, pg 26, lot#425, sold for $165 20 years ago. This should be at least $250 in today’s market if you can find one!
Will combine, prefer it actually. It’s generally the same cost or a buck or two more depending on the weight. PLEASE WAIT UNTIL I SEND YOU A COMBINED SHIPPING INVOICE. WILL SEND YOU ONE WITH THE FULL SHIPPING PRICE FOR ALL THE ITEMS PURCHASED. IF YOU PAY BEFORE I SEND A COMBINED INVOICE, I MAY NOT NOTICE THAT YOU OVER PAID FOR SHIPPING. IF I DO NOTICE I WILL REFUND THE DIFFERENCE BUT PLEASE WAIT FOR THE COMBINED INVOICE TO SAVE A REFUND HASSLE FOR BOTH OF US. THANKS.
FYI: I always go to the USPS to mail the items so I always have a receipt/ proof that the items were mailed
I suggest to the winner to print a copy of this sale, it will increase the resale value of your purchase tremendously having this information as a hard copy along with the bank. You are paying for this information, make use of it! Plus it’s fun to look back in 20 years and say I only paid $200 for that way back when. Most of the banks today selling for $200-$400 were $15-$50 in the mid 1970’s, big money when the reference guides I have were printed.
