Description
This listing is for a very handsome, circa 1940’s, Chinese Republic Period carved teak and marble topped pedestal or small stand. It measures 35 ¼ inches or 89.5 cm high. It has a round top which measures 10 ½ inches or 26.5 cm in diameter at the top.
The carved teak table is inset with a veined rose color marble at the center. Underneath the top is an elaborately hand carved open work top with branches of blooming cherry blossoms. The table sits on four undulating curved legs, also with raised floral designs. The supports for the four legs of the table are also carved.
The condition of this Chinese Republic Period table is really very good. It has its original patina or color on the wood. The marble is in excellent condition and the table is tight and strong. Again, this is a very beautiful table. Please see photographs.
