Vtg Japanese Cast Iron Kettle Chagama Tekki for Tea Ceremony

Details: This is a vintage Japanese tea kettle or Japanese chagama from Japan. According to the kanji relief around the bottom, this kettle is commemorative for the 25-year anniversary of a company foundation. \"Kama\" means metal pot or kettle in Japanese. The specific term for a kama used in Japanese tea ceremony is chagama, tea kettle. \"Kama\" are made of cast iron, and used to heat the water for making tea. In the tea room, the kama is either heated over a portable brazier (風炉 furo) or in a sunken hearth (ro) built into the floor of the tea room, depending on the season. This chagama will make a great addition to your home, buy this today before this one of a kind chagama is gone.
