Early 1880's VICTORIAN SCRAP BOOK, measuring 15" tall x 12" wide, containing 43 leaves(86 pages), every page filled with Engraved, Chromolithographed and lithographed die-cuts, trade cards, prints and other typical advertising and scrap items. The album contains several large images, including 3 large, full-page chromolithographs of family life, all published by True & Co. of Augusta, Maine, and copyrighted in 1881. The first one, titled "MORNING, NOON, NIGHT" depicts a multitude of happy, waking babies, some getting their morning bath. At Noon, they are happy and playing and some are in perambulators. The Night scene shows them fussing and crying, except for the one that is happily sleeping in it's crib. Provenance: This album was recently acquired from a Mercer County, PA source, and there is one trade card within from a Mercer, PA confectioner.
