Canada 2012: Computer Vended Kiosk Stamps Set Of 3: 61c, $ 1.05, $ 1.80...rare For SaleIn December, 2012, Canada Post introduced Computed Vended Postage as a test project in kiosks at a few post offices across Canada. The stamps are self-adhesive with backing paper and of a unique design. The test was unannounced publically. From mid-December, 2012 to January 13, 2013, the vending machine kiosks dispensed the basic lettermail denominations of 61 cents (domestic lettermail), $ 1.05 (lettermail to USA) and $ 1.80 (international lettermail). Beginning January 14, 2013, a rate change for lettermail was implemented (63 cents, $ 1.10 and $ 1.85). The original rates were no longer dispensed! Several post office kiosks have been added since.
Mint examples of Computer Vended Postage are now only available at kiosk locations in the current January 14 lettermail rates. Mint examples in any denomination are not available from the National Philatelic Centre in Antigonish, nor are they in any Quarterly Prepacks of Stamp Issues or Annual Souvenir Collections of stamps.Mint sets consisting of the original rates of 61 cents, $ 1.05 and $ 1.80 are extremely scarce and are truly a modern Canada rarity!!
Offered is a set of 3 mint stamps, in the original denominations of 61 cents, $ 1.05 and $ 1.80 in fresh mint condition. Please see the scan for the visual details of this very scarce Canada stamp issue!! Insured mail service is available upon request.
