An original autograph of CARL SCHURZ [1829-1906], a German revolutionary who fled to America in 1852 and soon became a prominent political leader who was strongly supported by Abraham Lincoln. He was a Union Army General during the Civil War, and later served in the United States Senate, as a diplomat and as Secretary of the Interior.... Size 1 3/4" x 3 1/2", signed on card, and dated March, 1883.
