Baillies lists a Jonathan NORMAN of Sherborne in 1780, Loomes lists a Matthew Norman in Sherborne in circa 1830
Fusee chain on, winds up & ticks away.Working.
Inner case only , formerly a pair cased watch i.e. having an outer case as well.
All calendar and motion work present under the dial and all working as it should, the calendar hand advancing by one day every 24 hours at around about the 5am position
All Original flat signed white enamel Dial with cracks and filled areas but the overall look is very good and no doubt if desired well worth restoring.Quite unusual with the Offset hours & calendar dials together with the rare centre seconds.
Working Stop/ Start lever for the seconds at the "35" position.Inner case now only and hallmarked solid silver London 1819 with casemaker`s mark:-

Original High dome glass crystal without bullseye, just as it should be.
Imaged nrxt to a standard size inner case of a pair cased watch of the same period to give some idea of scale.This inner case is actually larger than the whole of the other pair case.Overall diameter 58mm.not including pendant nor bow.
