As a senior citizen it is now time for me to downsize and let go of old treasures - this belonged to my mother who was the best biscuit maker on the planet (or at least in SC)! This is a lovely antique art glass cookie or biscuit jar that dates from the late 1890s - 1910 or so.

CF Monroe referred to this design as "Billow Ware" in its early catalogues; it is now more commonly referred to as "egg crate." This particular style is unique to CFM, although the company purchased its blanks from other manufacturers, notably Mt Washington-Pairpoint. The biscuit jar is unsigned; many of the company'searlier pieceswere NOT signed.

The jaris PERFECT! There are no chips, cracks, or repairs and the lid sits solidly on the top (no bending). The top of the silver rim of the jar has wear and surface scratching due to age. I detected no other issues. Please refer to the close-up photos for the details.
