Chinese Export Silver Match Box Holder Vesta Case Antique C1920 Superb For Sale
A beautifully designed Chinese export silver matchbox holder. It is hallmarked STERLING SILVER MADE IN HONG KONG along with the makers marks Wai Kee. It dates to the early 20thcentury c1920. It has been made from thick gauge silver beautifully pierced and engraved with bamboo. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, all the pierced work has been meticulously checked. It is a good sized example measuring a touch over 2.25 inches (6.2cms) long by a touch over 1.5 inches (4.1cms) wide by 1 inch (2.3cms) tall. It weighs a very respectable 40 grams. A well made beautifully detailed more unusual example.
