A large impressive Chinese export silver military rifle shooting spoon. It is hallmarked with the 85 minimum standard mark, a Chinese character, and the makers mark SW. It dates to 1925. It has a very unusual design having its terminal decorated with a shield bearing the letters CCRM (?? Rifle Meeting)and its handle in the form of a highly detailed rifle. It has been inscribed SGT NEAL C (for Sergeant Neal of C company - it may be the one shown on the fourth photo down on this It is in perfect condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. It is far larger and heavier than others I have seen measuring 5.75 inches (14.7cms) long and weighing 24 grams. A very unusual rare example.

I had a similar 1926 example that sold recently for £135.00.
