CHINESE SILVER Fabulous ANTIQUE MODEL SHIP c1900
Fabulous antique Chinese silver ship model circa 1900. Stunning detail with articulated oars, flags, cannon etc. Stamped with the Chinese silver mark 90 (90% silver grade) in at least two places, one the deck of the ship & on one of the flags. A really brilliant decorative object! The plinth is delicately carved hard wood in the form of rolling waves.
It measures 135mm long (approx 5 inches). Approx 7 inches high overall.
Overall weight excluding the wood plinth: 3.86 troy oz (120.1g).
Various minor imperfections but overall very good condition. One weapon is missing from the rear of the deck. Some of the silver wire rigging has snapped. The silver securing nut which clamps the ship onto the wooden base requires attention because it does not tighten enough & slips loose.
