An original printed and manuscript completed Civil War pass from the Chief Surgeon of the 3rd Division, Ninth Army Corps, sending a soldier for admission to the General Hospital. Dated April 2, 1865, probably in Washington, D.C., and signed by Dr. M. Bowes, Surgeon in charge....Size 2 1/4" x 4 7/8", blank reverse, folds, surface stains but good condition considering this was carried in the pocket of the soldier.
