Civil War Bleeder - Original Box For Sale

Up for sale is a brass bleeder in what appears to be the original box. The box is wooden and is wrapped in leather. Remnants of the leather are still there. There is a small brass clasp that holds the box together. There is remnants of writing ont he outside of the box. The box itself is 2-5/8" long by 1-1/4" wide by 3/4" thick. We will be selling the contents of the Cecil Beckett Collection here in the next few months on . He lived in Clermont County, Ohio. Cecil was a Secretary for the Ft. Salem Chapter of the Ohio Archaeological Society. He held that position for about 8 years. He was an avid collector. He was a Mechanical Engineer that graduated from the University of Kentucky. Professor Webb was one of his teachers. Of all the years that I knew Cecil I never knew him to say a negative thing about a collector. Which is a rarity in this hobby. He was the type of man/collector that most people should aspire to be. I know he would have wanted his artifacts to be dispersed among the many collectors.
