Civil War Correspondence Letters Michigan Fourth Cavalry 1864 For Sale
There are 18 letters total. There are 4 letters from the 1880s and the rest are 1861-1864. The letters are from Baker to his family. The envelops are all in worn condition. The letters are readable but some are very faded. There are also a couple of empty envelopes here. I left all this intact as this is how I received it. This is a person in the Michigan fourth cavalry Grand Rapids writing to his family. Nice lot of letters to have that are over 160 years old. These letters are from George Baker fourth cavalry Michigan to his family. The letters are mostly discussing where he is how he is doing and how is the family. Not to much discussed about the war. Although the letters are written in that time period, focus of the letters seem to be on the family not much at all on the war. I have had many questions on the letters. Again paper is fragile and some of it is hard to read.
