$104

DESCRIPTION: This is an old miniature gun powder flask that may have originally come with an old black powder pistol, such as a Colt. It probably dates from the mid-1800’s, possibly during the Civil War. It definitely looks like a military piece. On each side, it shows 9 stars above an eagle with 2 stars beside each wing totaling 13 stars which represent the original colonies. The eagle is holding a federal shield and 5 arrows above 2 crossed pistols. There is a banner underneath with the phrase “E.Pluribus Unum”. The open and close spring is still intact.

MATERIALS: Embossed brass and steel

DIMENSIONS: Measures about 4-½ inches long.

CONDITION: Overall in VERY GOOD, USED CONDITION.It has a few dents.

This is a great old powder flask that will be a nice addition to any antique collection. Or, a neat piece for a Civil War collector to own.
