CIVIL WAR NEW YORK ALBUM SEVEN SOLDIERS 93 CDVs 7 TINTYPES

Description :
Vintage, original leather and brass photograph album, 5.5 by 7.5 by 2", containing 96 vintage, original albumen photographs on CDV, one military trade card, and seven vintage, original tinted tintypes in CDV paper mounts, most from the Civil War and all from the 1860s period. This includes seven Civil War soldiers, including one of and signed by Benjamin B. Murray who enlisted at the age of 19 in 1861, was wounded at Fair Oaks, Virginia in May 1862 and killed in action during the Battle of Gettsyburg in July 1863. Another soldier, although not appearing in uniform, is William D. Milliken of Albion, New York (where his photo was taken) who enlisted at the age of 25, into Battery C of the New York 4th Heavy Artillery, and on 31 January 1863 he was commissioned a second lieutenant inCompany E of the United States Colored Troops 22nd Infantry. There re some identified images including members of the Langworthy and Stout families. Also several CDVs have revenue stamps as would be expected during their usage between 1 August 1864 to 1 August 1866. The images are mostly in near fine to fine condition; the album, while the covers and latches are complete with only the usual rubbing, some of the pages are loose and there are some tears in pages. All in all, a fine Civil War collection.

PLEASE READ: Items will be shipped either by first class or Priority mail, except for books which will be sent via Media Mail. Shipping charges are as close to the actual cost as possible. If paying for more than one item please wait for my invoice (which are always sent out within one or two hours after sales) to prevent multiple shipping charges. Overseas shipping costs will be determined at the end of the sale, but keep in mind that the USPS has eliminated the more inexpensive shipping method. With rare exceptions I ship within one or two days of a sale. A shipping charge is listed with each sale so if there is a question as to that charge please email prior to the close of an sale. ALSO PLEASE NOTE: For all domestic shipments I use printed shipping labels via Paypal and USPS and include delivery confirmation on all such shipments and I always show the cost of shipping on the label. Buyers can always check said shipments by going to "order details" within the listing and then click on the tracking number. AS BUYERS MAY BE AWARE THE SOCALLED DSRs, THE STAR RATING SYSTEM, IS CRITICALLY IMPORTANT TO ALL SELLERS AS IT DETERMINES OUR STANDING WITH . Payment :
I always encourage buyers to ask questions if in doubt about any facet of a listing, and general questions as to vintage photographs are also encouraged and I attempt to answer same as soon as possible. I accept only Paypal and if a buyer is not prepared to pay via Paypal then the sale will be voided. I also request that buyers notify me within three days as to plans for payment and such payment must be made within ten days unless other arrangements have been made such as advising me that they are waiting to offer on another item. However, I would prefer that buyers not wait to combine such purchases beyond even days. Thanks.
